Andre's Ultimate Showdown Final Form
Really quick idea doodle - Andre, determined to resist being knocked off again in a final showdown with Poppa, decked out with cinderblocks on his feet, pillows and boat anchor tied to his torso, 50's-era football helmet (should it be a rugby helmet?), probably could have boxing gloves on.

another story idea
This one might be a little off the wall for some people, but what the heck:
The mountain man (Pierre?) is climbing an icy ridge. He comes to a spot he doesn't know how to approach. It's getting late and the snow is starting to blow more fiercely, so Pierre decides to camp for the night. The wind is howling, and he can't get to sleep, so he starts counting sheep. The sheep begin to meld and distort, their horns growing larger, their fur turning into snow. A dream forms and Pierre is now climbing the horn of one the rams, transformed into a giant snowy mountain. As is the case with dreams, Pierre can't seem to climb to the top of the ram's horn. He'll slip on the ice, his legs will stop moving, etc. Something always seems to go wrong. Then he gets help from our two ram friends, and he manages to get to the top of the peak. Pierre wakes up, and realizes the mountain looks very similar to the one in his dream. So, he follows the same path as in the dream and gets to the top.

another story idea
Thought of this whilst taking my morning shower: instead of the father ram attacking the mountain man out of spite/defense/whatever, the ram could be preventing him from danger. Maybe there is a thin layer of snow extending out over a precipice. The mountain man goes to walk on it (and fall to his death), but the ram comes and knocks him away. Mountain man doesn't know the ram is trying to help him... etc etc.

Some Story Questions That Have Been Running In My Brain
Brain dump:
- Who is Pierre? (Pierre is my temporary name for our mountaineer character. Just run with it) What's he doing climbing the mountain? Why should we be rooting for him?
- Do the sheep/goats/whatever they are live on the mountain? Would they "live" at the top? Or in the valley? etc.
- Is it just the mother? Is the father involved? Are they threatened by Pierre? Or is it the fact that Pierre is interacting with the lamb? (Maybe Pierre is the first person to climb this mountain, so he "claims" the land by doing something like planting a flag there, and the sheep feel threatened by that...?)
- We talked about this film having a Looney-Tunes/Wile E. Coyote/Road Runner feel to it. A simple internet search revealed only a handful of shorts (including this one — Chariots of Fur — and some newer 3D ones which are completely different in tone and style (like this one and this one). There are a few more, and I'm sure we can get a hold of others if this is the direction we are interested in going.
